World in Motion's Salad Summers

Dear Parents,

This summer, send your child on a globe-trotting adventure with World in Motion®’s Salad Summers! Six weeks, six different destinations. Each week your young traveler will be immersed in a colorful mixture of music, dance, drama, arts and crafts, food, group games, and community trips. We promise a summer filled with endless fun!
Here are some facts to get you started:

  • World in Motion® is a new organization serving families with special needs. Rafaella and Kimberley are seasoned, enthusiastic teachers, with over 13 years of experience between them in working with children with ASD and other learning disabilities. Founded on the belief that kids should be allowed to just be kids, our main focus is on providing age appropriate extra-curricular activities while helping develop their areas of special needs.
  • Salad Summers is open to children between the ages of 4 to 12 with autism and related concerns – such as, communication or sensory issues, or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
  • Each child will be assigned a peer buddy to help promote social skills while exploring our world through fun and learning.
  • A customized passport/journal will be provided to record their adventures. Not only does this serve as a communication tool for sharing experiences, but it also makes for a wonderful souvenir!
  • Classes are modified to suit the ability levels and needs of the group.
  • This year, Pride Education® has been so kind as to house us in their classrooms over the summer. They are conveniently located in Sheung Wan – a few minutes walk from the Sheung Wan MTR exit.
  • Spaces are limited, so please register early to avoid disappointment. It would be greatly appreciated if application forms would be returned by Friday, June 4th to help us with group assignment.
